Teaching Plans and Practices

At VRU, my teaching plans and practices are a fusion of innovation and dedication to student growth. I envision classrooms as dynamic hubs of learning, where engagement is paramount, holistic understanding is nurtured, and skills are honed. My approach combines pedagogical expertise with the integration of cutting-edge technology, aiming to instill confidence in students and equip them for a future full of challenges and opportunities.

English as a Foreign Language

English as a Foreign Language (EFL) is a major component of the curriculum in Thai high schools. Students usually start studying EFL from an early age, frequently in primary school, and with increasing complexity in high school. It is a required subject. The government puts a lot of effort into raising high school students' levels of English proficiency because it understands how important it is to prepare students not only for higher education but also for participation in the globalized world and the possibility of pursuing further education or employment abroad. Despite difficulties, Thailand's commitment to educating its youth for a future where English proficiency is increasingly important can be seen in the emphasis on EFL in high schools.

EFL at VRU

The use of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) is heavily stressed at Valaya Alongkorn Rajabhat University, particularly in the context of guided learning and continuous translation. By providing structured, supervised learning opportunities, the university places a high priority on helping students improve their EFL abilities. To ensure that students are consistently exposed to the language, English is integrated into a number of curriculum components. Additionally, based on my experience at the Demonstration School of VRU, a lot of emphasis is put on the habit of constant translation, which enables students to understand complex ideas more fully and fosters effective communication by bridging the gap between their native language and English.

Teaching Plans

These are my teaching plan samples. I have taught two grade levels: Mathayom 1 (Grade 7) and Mathayom 5 (Grade 11). For my final teaching demonstration, I chose Mathayom 1/2 (Grade 7 - Section 2) with the lesson under Unit 4: Let's Have Lunch (The Use of How Much, How Many, Any, Some).
